Description

Enjoy Garlic Butter Honey BBQ Beef Tacos, a delightful blend of smoky, savory, and sweet flavors that brings everyone together.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Ground Beef (swap with turkey or chicken for lighter dish)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (unsalted preferred)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (fresh and minced)
  • 1 cup Honey BBQ Sauce (look for balanced sweet-tangy profile)
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika (adjust for spice preferences)
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder (tailor to taste)
  • to taste Salt & Pepper (use freshly ground pepper for optimal seasoning)
  • 8 pieces Tortillas (flour or corn, warm them for better flexibility)
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese (or cotija cheese for unique twist)
  • 1 small Red Onion (pickled can add a tangy twist)
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro (fresh or substitute with parsley)
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream (or Greek yogurt for healthier option)
  • 2 pieces Lime Wedges (for zesty freshness)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet. Break it apart with your spatula and cook for 5–7 minutes, until browned and no pink remains.
  3. Stir in the honey BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 5 minutes, until thickened and sticky.
  4. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable, about 20–30 seconds.
  5. Spoon a generous amount of the beef mixture into a tortilla. Top with cheddar cheese, red onion, and cilantro. Add a dollop of sour cream and a squeeze of lime.
