Instructions
- Combine apples, brown sugar, 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, and lemon juice in a medium mixing bowl.
- Add the apple mixture and 1 cup water to a saucepan. Bring to a boil, cover, and reduce heat to medium-low.
- Simmer for 10 minutes, or until apples are tender.
- Remove ½ cup of cooking liquid from the pan. Whisk in 2 tablespoons cornstarch until smooth.
- Return the cornstarch mixture to the pan. Stir to combine and cook until thickened.
- Remove from heat. Serve the apple pie dip warm or chilled.
